Statement

Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity.
I Timothy 4:12

This verse is essential to our spiritual life. Too often in this world, we hear “you can’t do this because you’re too young”, “you can’t trust teens”, “teens aren’t responsible or can’t handle big responsibilities.” Our youth group at East Triangle Church is one place where you won’t hear that. It’s a safe haven for us to come where we feel encouraged and at home. It’s a place where we are taught that being young doesn’t excuse us from making a difference. In fact our leaders challenge us to be our best while they nurture us with practical help. The foundation of our youth group is God. God is the core of our lives and the basis of everything we do. It is here that we are taught that with God, nothing is impossible. Our strength and confidence comes from our relationship with Christ.

I may approach God with freedom and confidence.
